Why We’re Proud of This Work
The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery has been dedicated to excellence in the medical specialty of cosmetic surgery for over 30 years. In 2013, having spent too long being sidelined in public conversations about cosmetic surgery board certification, the organization decided it was time to hire CAKE and advance their marketing efforts. Through the development of new messaging, a modern website design, and comprehensive patient resources, we captured the spirit of the ABCS and are getting the word out to the public about their dedication to and extensive training in cosmetic surgery.
Jumping into the board certification conversation
While the ABCS had been internally focused on creating the strictest standards for cosmetic surgery training, they had not given equal energy to the public conversation about board certification. As part of our search marketing work, CAKE took on the job of helping the ABCS to educate the public about which surgeons have proper training to perform cosmetic surgery procedures. Through comparisons of required training for plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgeons, we’ve helped the public to understand that board certification from the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery is one of the few ways people can be sure a surgeon is fully trained in cosmetic surgery and qualified to perform cosmetic surgery procedures.
Development of a robust library of resources
CAKE has also been helping the ABCS to educate the public about cosmetic surgery with numerous shareable resources online. From infographics, images, and videos to customized tools, pricing calculators, and helpful checklists, we have provided patients with a variety of resources on cosmetic surgery.
A gallery that enlightens viewers
We designed a very special gallery experience for the ABCS, knowing that education was key. Member surgeons provided photos, and we then created informational overlays to help viewers understand the transformations they are seeing. Everything in one place
The website also has a member-only side, which allows member surgeons to update their profiles and pay renewal fees. Surgeons interested in pursuing training and board certification in cosmetic surgery can also find out about cosmetic surgery fellowship training programs and the ABCS testing and certification process.
